Dutch culinary talent on an international level
Culinary Team The Netherlands brings together driven chefs who showcase their craftsmanship in national and international cooking competitions. With creativity, precision and strong teamwork, they put Dutch gastronomy on the map.
This requires a great deal of preparation, training and teamwork. Every detail matters, from developing dishes to the final presentation on the plate.
On the road to the world final in Shanghai
A wonderful new challenge for Ruben van Zanten and Pascal Poldervaart, both working at Restaurant ’t Havenmantsje in Harlingen. The duo has been selected by Worldchefs to represent Central Europe at the world final of the Global Chefs Competition in Shanghai, China, in April 2027.
The two chefs already have an impressive competition track record. In 2025 they won the HANOS Golden Chef's Hat and took gold at the European qualifying competition in Rimini. At the Global Chefs Competition in Wales in 2026, they earned a silver medal and the award for best tea dessert.
The coming months are about training, perfecting their dishes and working together toward the next international challenge.
